Staying Connected

We miss all of our preschool friends!  On this page, you will find all the information and ways to stay connected.  We hope to see you soon!!!

There are 4 major ways to stay connected:

1- Connect with your teacher!  Your teachers will be sending out either letters or emails.  You are welcome to write back!  While none of us have ever been through a global pandemic, and none of us are child psychologists, we are happy to be a listening ear!  if you have ANY questions or concerns about your child's progress or emotions, please feel free to reach out!  We're all a team!

2- Watch our Facebook Videos!  Your teachers will be posting videos on our facebook page at 10am each week day morning!  You can check them out here:

3- Participate in Our Weekly Family Challenges!  Each week, we will have a new challenge for you and your children to participate in!  They are completely optional for families, but I hope that you all join us as a way to stay connected your our Preschool Community.  We miss seeing your children's faces!

This Week's Family Challenge!

We have a school full of amazing students and staff. Now it’s time for you to show off your special talents. Whether you sing, ride a bike, wiggle your nose, paint pictures or dance, we want to see it so we can celebrate YOU! Create a video or take a picture of you doing whatever makes you a star. ⭐️
Videos and pictures should be taken vertically for easier editing.

What makes you UNIQUE?

This week we will be celebrating you. We all have remarkable talents that are unique to us and today is the day to show them off. Sing out loud, dance on the streets, paint a picture or wiggle your nose. Whether you juggle, whistle, do karate, gymnastics or build lego mansions we want to hear about what makes you special.

Think about what you are best at and show it off.
Make a video or take a picture of you performing your talent.
Pictures and video should be taken VERTICALLY so they can be edited to fit the video.

Please do not add text or special effects to make for easier editing.

Pictures and video should be sent to Ms. Sue at by Friday.

Once the videos and pictures are gathered, we will put together a video to show just how talented the students and staff at Glyndon United Methodist School really are!

Previous Family Challenges!

  • Challenge 1- "Rainbow Rally" Thank you all for participating in our Rainbow Rally!- Rainbows are often seen as symbols of hope!  Our preschoolers are surely a rainbow in a sky full of clouds!

  • Challenge 2- "Holy Week Mini-Challenges"- Join Mrs. Dotterer on Facebook with mini-challenges for Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Sunday.

    • Check our our Holy Week Lessons here

  • Challenge 3- "Art Apart - Beautiful Together!"

Through your beautiful artwork of painted rocks, we've created a "Rock Hunt" game!  Come, let's go on a rock hunt together!

4- Consider Donating to Our Preschool- I know, this doesn't sound like connecting.  I know, we are all in this weird unknown space and financial times may be hard.  However, please, if you are able, consider donating to our school so that we will have a wonderful community-centered preschool for years to come!   Glyndon United Methodist School has been a staple in this church and community for almost FIFTY years!  So many tiny humans have shared in the same experience as your very children, sitting in the same little chairs and in the same classrooms.  As you know, some of our past students are now even parents at GUMS.  My only hope is that more children get to experience this school and have the same sweet memories.  You may make a donation of any amount through PayPal, we are so grateful for anything you can contribute!
